Reimagining Leadership Amidst Constant Change: How to Invite Possibility Instead of Stagnation
Nonprofit leaders face burnout at levels even higher than those in the for-profit sector. According to 2022 statistics from the Society for Human Resource Management, (SHRM) nonprofits represent 10% of the overall labor market. The same study showed that the voluntary turnover rate of nonprofit personnel is 19%, seven points higher than that of the overall labor industry rate of 12%. Of the nonprofit leaders surveyed, 60% said they were coming home every night feeling "used up". How can we keep our nonprofit leaders and staff energized, enthusiastic about their causes, and looking for new perspectives?
On September 21, 2023, Ellie Martin, LCSW and Founder of Routefinder Consulting will join us in person at the PCCF offices to share her perspectives and insights about how nonprofits and other organizations can turn the exhaustion and confusion of the past few years into opportunities to thrive, move forward, and reimagine what’s possible.
Change is almost always challenging, but these past few years have given a whole new meaning to the words change and uncertainty. Navigating our way through the shifting tides of social, institutional, and political change can be a daunting task for any organization, and it can be especially challenging for nonprofits that rely heavily on the grace of volunteers, committed donors, and government entities.
Be sure to join us for this timely, interactive training and come away with fresh understanding and openness to ideas that could breathe new life into your leadership, your culture, and your entire organization.
It’s been a while since we were all together in person and July was an especially busy month for our whole nonprofit community. This will be a great opportunity to come together again with your nonprofit colleagues, enjoy a few snacks, and discuss how we can invite and embrace possibility on the heels of a few pretty crazy years.
We look forward to seeing you again soon!
