About Jim Soft:
James C. Soft, CFP, M.A., M.S. is President of James C. Soft & Associates. He held the Presidency at Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch Foundation from 2002-2012 and currently serves as their Planned Giving Consultant. Jim is a Certified Financial Planner and holds a Masters degree from the College of Financial Planning. James C. Soft & Associates offers planned giving consultation and mentoring. Jim was largely responsible for initiating and facilitating the writing of the popular and now permanent Montana Endowment Tax Credit. He is a former director of the Montana Nonprofit Association, and served on the board of a lobby group whose work was largely responsible for the extension and enhancement of the charitable IRA incentive legislation.
